Church InThe Wild #002: Questions I Used To Get My Passion Back & Step into God's Calling On my Life
A life of passion starts with a life of understanding just how big our God is and being expectant for what He will do
Read Time: 5 min
From the comfy confines of my home in Westfield, Indiana, I pen this memo, fortifying myself with the customary nitro cold brew. This is Memo 002, a call to action that seeks to influence at least one man and encourage him to follow his true calling, to realize that "YOU were CALLED for more!"

To the face!
Every day, men awaken to a world of boundless potential, yet they are beset by the snares of fear, indolence, complacency, and the abandonment of their God-given dreams and aspirations.
But...
Each time a man yields to these temptations, he is left with a nagging question:
Is this all?
I believe the time has come to dream again, to stop retreating, to stop playing it safe, to regain our confidence, and to recover our passion.
The question is, are you ready?
Read these words once more…
It is imperative that you seize the fire and passion that God is about to instill deep within your soul over the next five to seven minutes.
Allow me to share a brief personal account of why this topic is of great importance to me.
Nine years ago, I was ensconced in a life of video games and weed use, living in a modest studio apartment.
Most of my days were spent working part-time jobs, exercising, and smoking while playing video games.
I was raised in a church and had a blessed upbringing in a blue-collar family. My parents worked hard to provide for my two sisters and myself, setting an excellent example of faith and morality. If not for their devotion to God, my story might have turned out quite differently.
I made some poor choices and fell in with the wrong crowd, which silenced God's call on my life for nine long years.
Without delving too deeply into this matter, I simply wish to illustrate the unsatisfying existence I once led.
For a prolonged period, I was lost, wandering aimlessly. However, God provided me with a glimmer of hope that I was capable of far more than what I had become.
Fast forward to the present, and I have achieved some remarkable feats in the nine years since my past self existed. I married a beautiful woman, who played a significant role in my transformation. Together we established a gym, which we owned for three years before selling it.
I have become a father to two incredible children, a two-year-old son, and a seven-year-old daughter who has captured my heart.
I have worked alongside individuals such as Alex Hormozi, Tony Robbins, Caleb Maddix, Russell Brunson, and others who you may not recognize, but they are luminaries in the internet marketing realm.
I have personally sold more than $70 million in high-ticket coaching packages to individuals across the globe.
However, for the past two years, something has been gnawing at me. God has placed a calling on my life that has been ingrained since the day I was created. He has instilled within me a passion for men who are simply "getting by," merely pursuing the bare minimum of what they were created to accomplish.
If you still have a heart beat, then know that, the good news is that God is still writing your story, your testimony.
How can you regain your passion so that you can fulfill your calling?
A mentor of mine once asked me these two questions, and I urge you to consider them as well:
Does God possess your entire heart at this moment?
Do the things you do for work, pleasure, or recreation fill you with natural zeal and passion, or do they drain you? Do they diminish your God-given purpose?
There are people waiting for you to fulfill your calling, individuals whose lives will be impacted by your actions.
Jot this down:
"The wealthiest individuals will not be those with the biggest homes, the nicest cars, or the most resources. Rather, they will be those who comprehend that the wealth of their lives stems from enriching the lives of others."
My challenge to you today is not to abandon your current vocation in life.
I understand that we must all pay the bills and provide for our families.
However...
I firmly believe that most of us are not pursuing our true callings in life. To make matters worse, most of you will never change because it is difficult to venture into the uncomfortable and unknown.
I will disclose a secret to you now.
If you do not begin to ask yourself the questions I posed earlier, you will never embark on the journey of uncovering God's calling on your life.
You will never fully realize the blessings that he has in store for you.
If I can prompt you to take a step in the right direction through introspection, then I have accomplished my goal today.
God moves in the unknown!
If you can take a step in faith, he will equip you to fulfill his will.
I do not know a single person whom I admire, that hasn’t taken some sort of faith filled leap into the unknown…
Let me leave you with this… Take a walk this week and begin to do what I call “walk and talk” with God. Have an actual real conversation with him as you get your steps in.
I actually do it multiple times a day.
During your walk, ask God to reveal his calling on your life, some how some way. Then stop talking and just listen and practice a free mind and allow him to take your thoughts where ever they need to go.
If you do this on a regular basis you will realize that even if you don’t get the exact response you crave, you will be connected at a much higher level with God than before.
And I promise…He will eventually begin to reveal what you can handle.
You won’t be ready, but my advice is to be ready to take action.
That’s where the magic is!
That’s where he takes your test and turns it into your testimony.
Remember…RELATIONSHIP > RELIGION
P.S. I would have a complete sense of gratitude if you would share this with other men. Creating opportunities for men to come together and experience the WILD together is something I take a great sense of pride in…I pray this memo impacts lives across the globe.
P.P.S. If this is your first time here, you can subscribe here. Let’s grow into the type of men that leave a wake of impact on every person we get to serve!
